About chlorinated solvents
The interests of European chlorinated solvent producers and
consumers are represented by ECSA (European Chlorinated Solvent
Association), part of Euro Chlor. ECSA was formed over 35 years
ago.
ECSA works to support the long-term sustainability of
the chlorinated solvent industry.The association defines
and promotes safe practice as well as commissions toxicological
studies to further increase our knowledge of the products.
ECSA's goal is:
- to ensure that hazards are identified
- and that proper risk management is applied by users of
chlorinated solvents

ECSA represents companies that manufacture methylene chloride,
perchloroethylene and trichloroethylene. In addition, ECSA
addresses issues on other chlorinated hydrocarbons on an ad hoc
basis.
