Submitted product types
The first goal of the Biocides Strategy group was to submit for
certain substances a joint notification dossier for all interested
members of Euro Chlor.
For certain substances, application categories have been
identified that are well known and for these product types, the
support was approved by the group. But for other product types, the
group did raise questions about the actual scientific justification
or economic merit of declaring the use of these products as active
substances in biocidal products.
As second goal, registration groups with the co-ordination of
the BSG are submitting technical dossiers to the RMS for chlorine,
sodium hypochlorite and calcium hypochlorite;
Well in time for the final deadline, the Biocides Strategy group
submitted technical dossiers for chlorine, sodium hypochlorite
and calcium hypochlorite. And it is with great pleasure that we
announce the acceptance of all of the three
dossiers.

Note: notified PT 6 - In-can preservatives for sodium
hypochlorite was withdrawn, due to lack of support from the
Registration Group.
