Dow Europe Chlorinated Solvents Marketing Director Plamen Angelov has been re-elected as chairman of the European Chlorinated Solvent Association (ECSA), which is part of Euro Chlor.

PlamenAngelovA Bulgarian national, Mr Angelov joined Dow in 1990. He has worked as Sales Manager in the plastics division in the Balkan sales Region and various positions in the Dow Europe headquarters in Horgen Switzerland as Marketing Manager for engineering plastics, Marketing Manager for chemicals.

Currently he is Marketing Director for Chlorinated Solvents and Chlor-Alkali for Europe and IMEA. Before working for Dow, he was Import Manager at Rumetal in Sofia, Bulgaria importing metals. Mr. Angelov graduated from the Economic University in Sofia in 1986.

Commencing his future three-year term in office, Mr Angelov said: "ECSA focused primarily on the REACH compliance and the implementation of its sustainability programme along the value chain in the past three years. The key priorities for ECSA in the coming years will be the continuing work towards ensuring a sustainable future for the chlorinated solvents industry by delivering beneficial products & services whilst meeting and anticipating societal needs."
