DECEMBER 2025 CHLORINE PRODUCTION
In December 2025, the European chlorine production reached 629,536 tonnes. With 20,308 tonnes, the December 2025 average daily production was 3.6% higher than in the previous month (November 2025: 19,596 tonnes) but 5.1% lower than in December 2024 (21,408 tonnes).
With 229,110 tonnes, the December 2025 caustic soda stocks were 4.3% lower than in the previous month (November 2025: 239,435 tonnes) but 2,372 tonnes above the level of December 2024 (226,738 tonnes).
The following tables give the details of chlorine production and caustic soda stocks in the EU-27 countries plus Norway, Switzerland, and the UK from January to December 2025.
