FEBRUARY 2024 CHLORINE PRODUCTION

In February, the European chlorine production reached 707,562 tonnes. With 24,399 tonnes, the February 2024 average daily production was 9.2% higher than in the previous month (January 2024: 22,343 tonnes) and 11.6% higher than in February 2023 (21,867 tonnes).

With 256,187 tonnes, the February 2024 caustic soda stocks were 12.2% higher than in the previous month (January 2024: 228,417 tonnes), but 61,722 tonnes below the level of February 2023 (317,909 tonnes).

The following tables give the details of chlorine production and caustic soda stocks in the EU-27 countries plus Norway, Switzerland, and the UK in February 2024.
