MARCH 2024 CHLORINE PRODUCTION
In March, the European chlorine production stood at 690,555 tonnes. With 22,276 tonnes, the March 2024 average daily production was 8.4% lower than in the previous month (February 2024: 24,331 tonnes) but 13.6% higher than in March 2023 (19,605 tonnes).
With 242,796 tonnes, the March 2024 caustic soda stocks were 5.5% lower than in the previous month (February 2024: 256,939 tonnes), but 67,953 tonnes below the level of March 2023 (310,749 tonnes).
The following tables give the details of chlorine production and caustic soda stocks in the EU-27 countries plus Norway, Switzerland, and the UK in March 2024.
