Ercros to expand chlorine activities in Spain

After receiving permission from authorities, Ercros is investing 12 million euros at their site in Sabiñánigo, Huesca, Spain. This work follows on from successful mercury conversion projects, meaning that chlorine production capacity, using the membrane technology, will increase from 15,000 t/year to 45,000 t/year.

It is expected that the first stage of the expansion will be completed by the end of this year with further site development at their pool-water treatment products plant to complete by 2020. As a result, the total investment at the site come to 27 million euros, creating many local jobs.
