BASF acknowledged as global leader in water management

18/11/2016

Member company BASF has been recognised as one of only 24 global companies that received an 'A' rating for their work in susatainable water management.

The international non-profit organisation CDP recently announced (15 November, Morocco at their Global Water Forum) that BASF's work on transparent water management reporting and reduction of risks related to water (such as water scarcity) was of such a high standard that they should go onto their 'Water A-list'.

Out of 607 rated companies, BASF achieved a top rating due to their cooperation with other local water users, including other municipalities and other companies using river basins in their activities.

Water is a valuable resource, and its sustainable use and availability is one of the current UN sustainable development goals.

We congratulate BASF on their achievement and more on this is available on the company website.
