Bondalti starts operations at new plant in Torrelavega

Bondalti has started operations at its new plant in Torrelavega, in Cantabria, northern Spain.

The new plant was part of a two year project and a 60 million euro investment at the site with an installed capacity of 68,000 tonnes / year. The new facility will be involved in the production of chlorine, caustic soda, hydrogen, hydrochloric acid and sodium hypochlorite for use in polyurethane and PVC production, treatment and water purification as well as the production of textile, pulp, aluminium and cleaning products.

The site is expected to bring 150 direct and indirect jobs to the town of Torrelavega which is situated approximately 30 kilometers from Santander.
