December 2019 chlorine production

In December, the European chlorine production reached 761,026 tonnes. With 24,549 tonnes, the December 2019 average daily production was 1.2% lower than in the previous month (November 2019: 24,851 tonnes) and 3.7% higher than in December 2018 (25,504 tonnes).

With 225,632 tonnes, the December 2019 caustic soda stocks were 8.6% higher than in the previous month (November 2019: 207,747 tonnes), and 16,074 tonnes above the level of December 2018 (241,706 tonnes).

The following tables give the details of chlorine production and caustic soda stocks in the EU-28 countries plus Norway and Switzerland in December 2019.
