DECEMBER 2023 CHLORINE PRODUCTION
In December, the European chlorine production reached 609,418 tonnes. With 19,659 tonnes, the December 2023 average daily production was 1.7% lower than in the previous month (November 2023: 19,993 tonnes), but 18.6% higher than in December 2022 (16,573 tonnes).
With 221,781 tonnes, the December 2023 caustic soda stocks were 4.5% higher than in the previous month (November 2023: 212,227 tonnes), but 35,587 tonnes below the level of December 2022 (257,368 tonnes).
The following tables give the details of chlorine production and caustic soda stocks in the EU-27 countries plus Norway, Switzerland, and the UK in December 2023.
