Euro Chlor at SETAC 2016 in Nantes

25/03/2016

SETAC 2016 will take place in the beautiful French city of Nantes between 22 and 26 May 2016 with the overrall topic of this years 26th event being 'Environmental contaminants from land to sea: continuities and interface in environmental toxicology and chemistry'.

Every year, the SETAC Europe conference brings together over 1500 academics, students and industrial professionals to interract and discuss recent discoveries in the areas of environmental toxicology and chemistry. The event covers these core disciplines but also environmental research and development, ecological risk assessment and life-cycle assessment, chemical manufacture and distribution, management and regulation of natural resources, and the study, analysis, and solution of environmental problems.

Given Euro Chlor's expertise and experience in many of these areas, we are a supporting member of this organisation and every year we are present at the event to learn about recent updates, to monitor scientific trends, discuss challenges facing the environment, chlor alkali's response to solving such challenges and to disseminate information on the environmental topics that we cover.

Further, this year, Euro Chlor Executive Director, Dr Dolf van Wijk, will be presenting during a platform session on scientific integrity; relating how academic and industrial environmental research has the potential to shape regulatory policy.

If you are there, why not come and visit our information stand (number 40, next to the CEFIC LRI booth) to learn more about the chlor alkali industry and our role in sustainability and the environmental sciences.

For more information on the event, please see the SETAC website.
