May 2019 Chlorine Production

In May 2019, the European chlorine production reached 737,308 tonnes. With 23,784 tonnes, the May 2019 average daily production was 9.6% lower than in the previous month (April 2019: 26,300 tonnes), and 9.4% lower than in May 2018 (26,252 tonnes).

With 276,812 tonnes, the May 2019 caustic soda stocks were 6% lower than in the previous month (April 2019: 294,316 tonnes), but 5,400 tonnes above the level of May 2018 (271,412 tonnes).

The following tables give the details of chlorine production and caustic soda stocks in the EU-28 countries plus Norway and Switzerland in May 2019.
