May 2020 Chlorine Production

In May 2020, the European chlorine production stood at 725,689 tonnes. With 23,409 tonnes, the May 2020 average daily production was 0.03% higher than in the previous month (April 2020: 23,401 tonnes), but 2.75% lower than in May 2019 (24,071 tonnes).

With 209,098 tonnes, the May 2020 caustic soda stocks were 18.6% higher than in the previous month (April 2020: 176,243 tonnes), but 61,308 tonnes below the level of May 2019 (270,406 tonnes).

The following tables give the details of chlorine production and caustic soda stocks in the EU-28 countries plus Norway and Switzerland in May 2020.
