Euro Chlor have released their latest video on the current status of the chlorine and caustic soda (chlor-alkali) industry in Europe.

In the new animated video, a first for Euro Chlor, Chairman, Dieter Schnepel expands upon how our industry creates thousands of jobs in Europe and how it works towards a healthy, environmentally responsible and safe sector.

He also highlights the challenges facing our industry. Given that energy is the vital third ingredient (along with water and salt) needed to make chlorine and sodium hydroxide (caustic soda), electricity costs have a major impact on the competitiveness of European chlor-alkali. As such, Mr. Schnepel reminds of the need for uninterrupted, competitively priced and secure energy.
