09/10/2018

Following on from the recent acquisition of AkzoNobel’s Specialty Chemicals business by The Carlyle Group and GIC, the new company name has now been revealed, Nouryon.

The new company’s lines include chlor-alkali and its derivatives, which help make our lives safer, easier and healthier. Their name, ‘Nouryon’ has a history that stretches back nearly 400 years and is named after Noury & Van der Lande, one of the first companies to realize the important role chemistry could play in everyday life.

“Launching our new company is a significant milestone to add to our proud history and we are all looking forward to this exciting new chapter,” said new CEO Charles W. Shaver.

More on the new company can be found on the Nouryon website.
