ALDRIN

An insecticide based on 1,2,3,4,10,10-hexachloro-1,4,4a,5,8,8a-hexahydro,endo,exo-1,4:5,8-dimethanonaphthalene. It degrades into the substance dieldrin in the body and the environment. It was used in crops like corn and cotton and is now classified as a Persistent Organic Pollutant (POP).

Under the Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants, use of this chemical in Europe is subject to restriction.
