August 2021 Chlorine Production

In August, the European chlorine production reached 842,396 tonnes. With 27,174 tonnes, the August 2021 average daily production was 1.2% lower than in the previous month (July 2021: 27,491 tonnes), but 9.6% higher than in August 2020 (24,796 tonnes).

With 213,080 tonnes, the August 2021 caustic soda stocks were 11.1% higher than in the previous month (July 2021: 191,722 tonnes), but 49,569 tonnes below the level of August 2020 (262,649 tonnes).

The following tables give the details of chlorine production and caustic soda stocks in the EU-27 countries plus Norway, Switzerland, and the UK in August 2021.
