January 2021 Chlorine Production
In January, the European chlorine production reached 855,883 tonnes. With 27,609 tonnes, the January 2021 average daily production was 6.0% higher than in the previous month (December 2020: 26,045 tonnes), and 3.3% higher than in January 2020 (26,719 tonnes).
With 233,430 tonnes, the January 2021 caustic soda stocks were 12.3% higher than in the previous month (December 2020: 207,855 tonnes), and 6,617 tonnes above the level of January 2020 (226,813 tonnes).
The following tables give the details of chlorine production and caustic soda stocks in the EU-27 countries plus Norway, Switzerland, and the UK in January 2021.
