JANUARY 2022 CHLORINE PRODUCTION
In January, the European chlorine production reached 851,920 tonnes. With 27,481 tonnes, the January 2022 average daily production was 3.1% higher than in the previous month (December 2021: 26,650 tonnes), but 0.9% lower than in January 2021 (27,718 tonnes).
With 225,409 tonnes, the January 2022 caustic soda stocks were 17.7% higher than in the previous month (December 2021: 191,536 tonnes), but 8,021 tonnes above the level of January 2021 (233,430 tonnes).
The following tables give the details of chlorine production and caustic soda stocks in the EU-27 countries plus Norway, Switzerland, and the UK in January 2022.
