March 2021 Chlorine Production

In March, the European chlorine production reached 805,463 tonnes. With 25,983 tonnes, the March 2021 average daily production was 8.3% lower than in the previous month (February 2021: 28,339 tonnes), and 2.2% higher than in March 2020 (25,416 tonnes).

With 206,480 tonnes, the March 2021 caustic soda stocks were 18.7% lower than in the previous month (February 2021: 254,122 tonnes), and 1,947 tonnes below the level of March 2020 (208,427 tonnes).

The following tables give the details of chlorine production and caustic soda stocks in the EU-27 countries plus Norway, Switzerland, and the UK in March 2021.
