May 2021 Chlorine Production

In May, the European chlorine production reached 800,970 tonnes. With 25,838 tonnes, the May 2021 average daily production was 0.6% higher than in the previous month (April 2021: 25,685 tonnes), and 10.4% higher than in May 2020 (23,409 tonnes).

With 191,318 tonnes, the May 2021 caustic soda stocks were 7.3% lower than in the previous month (April 2021: 206,409 tonnes), and 17,780 tonnes below the level of May 2020 (209,098 tonnes).

The following tables give the details of chlorine production and caustic soda stocks in the EU-27 countries plus Norway, Switzerland, and the UK in May 2021.
