MAY 2025 CHLORINE PRODUCTION
The May 2025 European chlorine production stood at 602,878 tonnes. With 19,448 tonnes, the May 2025 average daily production was 4.3% lower than in the previous month (April 2025: 20,315 tonnes) and 12.1% lower than in May 2024 (22,113 tonnes).
With 189,566 tonnes, the May 2025 caustic soda stocks were 4.6% higher than in the previous month (April 2025: 181,285 tonnes) and 22,450 tonnes below the level of May 2024 (212,016 tonnes).
The following tables give the details of chlorine production and caustic soda stocks in the EU-27 countries plus Norway, Switzerland, and the UK from January to May 2025.
